Small town band, Disco Ensemble started playing together at the age of 12, learning the songs of heavy metal titans such as ACDC and Metallica, evolving to become a punk band in their mid-teens who played across the infamous squat scene in Pori.
In Finland, they are big news. Two of their albums have reached number 1 in the Finnish rock chart and are critically acclaimed in the mainstream press. This is their fourth release and is an album with a big sound, from the big punk-rock stamping right down to the softer variety of music and melodic vocal hooks which explore the lows and highs of modern life.
It stands with no doubt that Finland will love it, but may take a little longer for the Brits to fall in love with its wandering sound and stretched musical limits, here’s hoping we give it a chance!
