It’s fairy fey in a 90’s indie sort of way, but not sickeningly. It’s found a great place between those twee tones and a harder contemporary pop vibe, and manages to differentiate her from 2010’s overwhelming amount of female solo artists.
This record is great in that it is really easy listening and there are very few moments that one could fault. It will be difficult for people to dislike Rose Elinor Dougall, but the delicate music does run the risk of fading into the background.
