This is one of those albums for kids who think they’re cool, à la ‘Bust A Move’. The track tries to be cleverer than it is, invoking the notion that some things are too disturbing for women and children to see: ‘Hey women, hey children, turn round and look the other way. Let’s leave this place and go outside. Walk round amongst the genocide’. It comes out of the same hole The Automatic dug for themselves in a kind of rocky poppy cross-over, only with a little more bite. Fabulously ingenious lyrics like ‘if a shark stops swimming it dies’ repeated numerous times in opener ‘What’s Your Poison?’ characterise the mentality of the rest of the album. My little brother (15) genuinely thinks ‘it’s an interesting question, what does happen if a shark stops swimming’. ‘Nuff said.www.myspace.com/swound
