An infectious collection of Brazilian funk compiled by DJ Cliffy

Having taken the helm to compile the 2002 release Black Rio, London based DJ Cliffy is back again with this selection of 'original Samba soul' from the 1970s.

DJ Cliffy has continued where he left off with the first edition of this collection, bringing together tracks by influential artists from the genre such as Emilio Santiago, Paulistano and Renata Lu, and whilst each of the tracks chosen are as funky as it gets, the album retains a sense throughout that this is a comprehensive showcase of what the era was all about, as well as serving as a clear display of DJ Cliffy's own personal devotion and affection for this genre of music.
