Subba-Cultcha is always trying to get new music in front of people through our Podcasts and through reviewing everything we are sent (that's a lot of music, trust me!). So whilst planning the launch of Subba-Cultcha's new look we decided to relaunch with something a little bit special...
Subba Factor 2007 will set out to find the brightest and freshest new band around and then help them make it big (or bigger), by giving them the tools to record and then showcase their tracks to the world.
We've teamed up with the exceptionally nice people at Berry Street Studio in London to offer one lucky band the chance to spend a day recording with professional engineers and equipment. We cant write the music for you but we can certainly help you put the finished article together!
Now most web-zines would have left it there and said good luck, but Subba-Cultcha always looks to go that little bit further...
Along with a days recording at Berry Street, the winning band will also feature in their own Subba-Cultcha Podcast for all to hear, as well as receiving a homepage feature on your band!
So lets just clarify what Subba-Cultcha is offering one lucky band:
- Full Days recording at Berry Street Studio London with engineering staff
- Podcast featuring on Subba-Cultcha dedicated to your bands music
- Cover feature article on the band by Subba-Cultcha
So if you're looking to get your bands music heard and make a start on the road to a packed out Wembly stadium with 100,000 fans singing your songs then this is how you get involved:
- Send us your most impressive track, (only one please, if we are sent more than one the entry will be disqualified) along with the following:
Band Members and their roles within the band
Where the band's from
A brief description of the band's history and anything you feel is important (max 200 words)
A small picture (passport size digital GIF)
- Then start telling people, as the more votes your band gets, the more chance you have of winning! The 10 bands with the most votes will go onto feature in the Subba Factor 2007 finals. This will be a podcast featuring a track from each of the ten most popular bands voted for by you. Then we will ask a panel of top industry professionals to crown one band the winner of Subba-Factor 2007.
It really is that simple!
