Having very recently completed a small tour around the UK, it’s no surprise that things must be going well in camp Circa, with tonight being a prime example.
As they open with ‘Get Out’, from their upcoming album ‘Blue Sky Noise’ due for release July 26th, the room has to take a step back, as lead vocalists Anthony Greens presence is instantly stunning, and the energy generated through the song is enough to satisfy any ones ears.
With such note perfect singing, Anthony manages to fill the stage, and at times admittedly he looks a tad demonic – though regardless, the atmosphere in the venue is nothing but feel good, with every person utterly loyal to the band.
Playing a mix of bold the old and new, Circa Survive are really able to showcase their sound, with smooth guitars and the odd sharp edge, ‘Imaginary Enemy’ (‘Blue Sky Noise’) is one of the clear winners with the crowd, leaving us on a high, our appetites are wet and poised for another dose.
Circa Survive delivered above expectation, and with no gripes about it ‘Blue Sky Noise’ will be another reiteration of just why we fell in deep admiration of this American bunch from the get go.
