NEW ARTIST OF THE DAY: BEAR HANDS
Subba-Cultcha admits it's deep love for Brooklyn’s Indie quartet Bear Hands...
SUBBA-CULTCHA.COM SAYS: "A righteous slice of primal indie rock 'n roll, fitted with perfectly honed dynamics that underpin an explosively primal sense of melody from the buzz-worthy Bear Hands. The Brooklyn indie quartet aren't afraid to turn their poppy structures on their head to create something strikingly different, delivering a sound that includes elements of BRMC, Franz Ferdinand and We Were Scientists. Check them out for yourself before everyone's raving about them!!"
Brooklyn’s Indie quartet Bear Hands are set to release their second single & video for ‘Peacekeeper’. Always unpredictable but never shy of pop hooks, ‘Peacekeeper’ is a fast paced anthem with driving guitars and hypnotic drums that take you on a journey which finishes with slow self-reflection. The previous video for debut single ‘Agora’ was directed by the band's guitarist, Ted Feldman and with this music video, Bear Hands wanted to keep it in the family of creatives by enlisting good friends and long-time video collaborators Andrei Schwartz and Sam Jones as co-directors with Sara'o Bery as producer. "I was always afraid of the song coming off too serious so the video was a good chance to present it in the right light. We had little money and no time, so of course Andrei and Sam showed me a wild, overly ambitious treatment. And then, of course, they nailed it." says Ted Feldman. ‘Peacekeeper’ is taken from Bear Hands’ forthcoming UK debut album ‘Distraction’ which is a true story of DIY passion. The album which was recorded in just two weeks, was produced by guitarist Ted Feldman, mixed by James Brown (Nine Inch Nails, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters) and entirely funded by the band themselves.
