NEW MUSIC DIGEST – 02/05/2014

Old Subbacultcha

Old Subbacultcha brings you the latest music, videos & news from; Kasabian, OFF!, Odonis Odonis, Banks, Ought, Years & Years and Cheerleader.

Introducing: Cheerleader says: "A wondrous track full of summery hooks and jangling guitars, perfect made to soundtrack your forthcoming summer (weather permitting, of course). Cheerleader's music sound effervescently full of joy, but juxtaposed by the melancholic edge to the vocal melodies. It's a great mix which stops it from sounding too poppy. There's the tender touch of Snow Patrol in places, the jittery indie pop of Two Door Cinema Club, the hazy psych-pop melodies of the Lilys via Oranger with a breathlessly delivered, epic-pop feel to the melodies (think M83 without their shoegaze aspirations), all delivered in a slightly dead panned nature. Wondrous!"
