Welcome The Festive Season With Nancy Hays & The Heffernans!

Line-dancing singer, Nancy Hays is here with a collection of family incorporated country Christmas classics! Joined by her daughters, Mary and Caroline and her fiddle playing son, Matthew, they have come together as a family to bring us some original holiday classics that are sure to get you into the festive spirit. With the time having come to start making the annual Christmas playlist, make sure you add this among all of the normal favourites!

The first release, ‘Light in the Winter’, is an upbeat and catchy song that sings a message of community, love and faith. Composed by Michael Mahler, the family arranged as a four part harmony creating a brilliant layer of vocal sound that is nestled nicely into the music. The video for the song, has a slideshow of a family celebrating Christmas over the years, reinforcing the family feeling that surrounds this time of year. Having already been featured on radio stations in Nashville and Opryland, USA, it’s sure to up there with some of the best holiday music.

The second release, Mr. Santa, sees a fantastic Christmas reimagining of The Chordettes’ Mr. Sandman, making a real American classic their own. Created alongside a feel good family video, directed, shot and edited by Edward, Nancy’s other son, it shows the family dancing and having fun which has since been picked up by The Heartland Network in Nashville, as well as TV morning news shows across the States. Having performed this live in front of an audience of 2,000 at The Dance Explosion event in Las Vegas, it’s currently a hit in the line-dancing community that is sure to be a favourite to many.
The third family Christmas release, ‘Two Step Round the Christmas Tree’, also released alongside a video with the family performing in the studio joined by videos of dancers from all over the world line-dancing along to it in a dance that was choreographed by Jo Thompson Szymanski and Norm Gifford. With videos online showing dancers in Australia, US, UK and Japan, it’s a global song that is all about Christmas, giving us yet another fantastic Christmas song that should be a part of a country lovers’ festive playlist.

Nancy Hays & the Heffernan family’s Christmas songs will be enjoyed by many across the globe this year, including their latest release, ‘Christmas Time’s a Comin’, features yet more wonderful fiddle and family harmony. Additionally, Nancy Hays has released her own Christmas song, with ‘I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day’, which is available on all streaming platforms for you to enjoy.
