Strange Music Artist Joey Cool Reminds Me To Enjoy The View

Enjoy The View

Joey Cool

Delivering a bold body of work, rising rap phenom Joey Cool presents his much-anticipated new album, Enjoy The View.

To celebrate the arrival of the record, also released the music video for the single “Kingdom” [feat. Tech N9ne]. A distorted guitar crunch sets the tone for the track as Joey’s unpredictable cadence cuts right through the beat. Meanwhile, Tech pulls up with a focused and fiery verse of his own. Uplifted by a bluesy guitar solo, the hook hits hard, “When the kingdom comes, you’d better fall in line and pray to God that he’s been listening. Trying to bring my kingdom down.” In the accompanying visual, Joey and Tech take over a football field. They rap to the camera in between footage of drills and intense game action.

Elsewhere on the release, “Oh God” delivers a soulful vibe, and “Flickin’” gives an old-school West Coast sound. “Sweet” (featuring Lex Bratche) is more groove-filled while “Hallelujer” is a gospel banger. “Closer Now” (featuring K.A.A.N. & King Iso) is a lyrical story of fighting through and not being held back. Also on the LP, you will find “I Bet” (featuring Wennely Quezada) with a hip-hop-pop feel, “Peanut Butter Jealous” (featuring label-mate X-Raided), and “Great Time” which should become an instant club classic. With Enjoy The View Cool shows his diversity as an artist with a bit of something for everyone.

With impenetrable flows, hypnotic hooks, and debonair flair, Joey Cool persists as an outlier through and through. Thus far, he has ignited a string of fan-favorite projects. Hailed as “a hidden gem,” HipHopDX rated his 2018 self-titled solo debut “4.0-out-of-5.0.” Following Coolie High [2020] and I tried to be normal once [2021], he reached another stratosphere on The Chairman of the Board [2022]. Hip Hop Golden Age applauded it as “some of his most confident writing and performances to date.” Underground Hip Hop Blog summed it up best as “Joey Cool’s most confident effort yet.” In between, he shined on Tech N9ne’s “Face Off” alongside King Iso and Dwayne Johnson. The song has amassed hundreds of millions of streams, 14.6 billion TikTok views, and received plugs from Variety, USA Today, People, HYPEBEAST, and many more. In its wake, Joey hit the road with Tech, ¡MAYDAY!, and Iso. Now, he goes even harder with a dynamic, diverse, and definitive opus in the form of his sixth full-length album, the aptly titled Enjoy The View.
