Lilise Strikes Gold Again

You Don't Own Me (Single)

Lilise

Lilise is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the pop music scene, isn't she?

It's hard not to love how she effortlessly combines introspection and defiance in her music. It's not easy to capture the complexity of teenage emotions, especially heartbreak this time, but Lilise seems to do it with ease.

The acoustic pop vibe, coupled with well-crafted melodies, gives her music a timeless quality. And the fact that she's addressing important themes like body image, misogyny, and love in her songs shows a maturity beyond her years. It's refreshing to see a young artist tackling these issues with such grace and sincerity.

She shows no sign of slowing down in 2023 with a second single, "You Don't Own Me", only a few weeks after her debut track "Sweeter Than Poison".

Her new track is painfully relatable, as she explores the struggles of feeling too attached and the impact on mental health for those who've experienced teenage heartbreak. It is also even better than her debut song -which was already great-, as it showcases her singing skills in a different way.

With her blend of emotional lyrics, relatable themes, and a unique musical style (and visual style, check her DocMartens and princess dress), she's poised to make a significant mark in the music world. I'm excited to see where her journey takes her!
